Italiano:
Ciao a tutti!

Durante i giorni liberi siamo stati molto bene e abbiamo viaggiato.

English:
Hi everyone!
Last few weeks have passed very fast and now we are so close to our departure..

The weekend in Roccantica
Two weeks ago we had very nice weekend with other EVS-volunteers in Roccantica, which is a small town near Rieti. We visited Casale Bosco Alto (https://it-it.facebook.com/CasaleBoscoAlto/), where lives one person from the organization that coordinates our EVS- project. During these months in Italy, we have had already two other meetings with this group and this was the third and last time when we were all together.

We had a purpose on this weekend: to go hiking! So, saturday morning we left from the Casale Bosco Alto, and aim was to walk 15 km.First we climbed on a hill in the forest - it was hard but very beautiful path! Then we ate lunch middle of the nature. In the afternoon we arrived in Rifugio Cognolo (http://www.cognolorefuge.com/it/home/), which is a little house in the forest, located on Monti Sabini. It receives guests, and there are possibilities to sleep and cook meals. We relaxed, had aperitivo, sit around campfire outside and ate dinner. The dinner was polenta, which is typical italian dish, made of corn, and it was very good! 😋 Rifugio Cognolo was like another world  –  there we were without telephones and computers, that for me was very relaxing experience. Sunday morning we came back to Casale Bosco Alto. We took shorter route because it was raining. After about 2,5 hours of walking we arrived, relaxed and had lunch together.
I'm so happy I got to know the other volunteers! If you are interested, go to visit the blog of  Sabrina, Argyro and Sergio: https://aruotaliberasve.wordpress.com/. I hope that their last month in Italy will be good! Some photos from the weekend of Roccantinca you can look above.

Instead here in Il Casone, we have done some work in the garden: after the event of "Festa di Primevera" that we organized in the end of March, we still had a lot of vegetables waiting for planting.  I really like to work in the garden because it's very relaxing and concrete work. But it's not easy, because plants are fragile. Therefore you need patience!
In the school we've done many different activities: we solved a crossword; learned new word by drawing; learned colours in English and sang songs in English. 2 weeks ago I also taught some things about my Finnish culture: we had a quiz with a group of older children and a little activity with a map and a book about Finland with smaller children. Last week we finished the translation of the song "Imagine" by John Lennon that we started with older group some weeks ago. After we sang all together and it was emotional moment for me, because they were so good! 😊 Last week we went to the school for the last time. But fortunately this wasn't the last time we saw the children because we're going to organize an event "L'Europa della Valle" this weekend. So we have chance to say goodbye and play together one more time!

We've travelled and had good time during our freetime. In April I've spend some time with other volunteers: I passed one weekend in Naples and Sorrento and other weekend in Venice. Bertrand instead visited Bologna. On the Easter week I had special guests here because my sister, one of her friends and my friend came from Finland! 😊 We went together to visit Monte Livata, which is a high hill near us and near city of Subiaco, and of course we visited also the center of Anticoli Corrado! More photos you find if you look above of this post.

Coming home is near
It's incredible but true that this week will be the last of our project of European Voluntary Service! That's why we'll organize an event, that is called "L'Europa della Valle": https://www.facebook.com/events/1242548245861385/. We'll have many activities: a little walk along the river Aniene, some educational activities for the children of the elementary school; lunch buffet and a presentation of our project. The day will finish with traditional Italian dances. I'm sure that Saturday will be very nice and funny day! This week will arrive new volunteers, one girl from Germany and one girl from France and their tutor. I'm happy that we can meet and tell them about the activities we've done here.
So, this was my last post. Goodbye and thank you for all who read this blog and followed our experience. Bella per tutti! 😘
